The Ask:
Create a unique mark to celebrate the Sonics 40th Season in Seattle.
The Challenge:
The surprise sale of the team left fans with doubts about the NBA’s future in Seattle.
The Solution:
Sports fans want to feel that their passion is reciprocated. I created a look and logo that connected to the current team branding while also nodding to the team’s heritage and the 40 years spent in Seattle.
